Notice of Infringement – Claim
- An authorized signature of the copyright owner or representative;
- Identification of the copyrighted work that has been infringed;
- Details of the material to be removed and information to help locate it;
- Contact details of the complaining party;
- A statement of good faith belief that material is being used without authorization;
- An assertion that the information provided is accurate and authorized.
Section 512(f) provides penalties for knowingly providing false information in an infringement claim. Takedown notices should be sent via email for quick response.
Notification details may be shared with the alleged infringer. By submitting a claim, you agree to this.
Counter Notification – Restoration of Material
If material is taken down due to a copyright claim, a counter notification with certain elements can be sent to have the material restored.
- Your signature;
- Description of the removed material;
- Statement under penalty of perjury that the takedown was a mistake;
- Your contact details;
Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.
